About the IAP
The IAP is a brand new approach to road management.
A voluntary program, the IAP uses the Global Navigational Satellite System to monitor heavy vehicles’ road use, giving transport operators flexible access to the Australian road network to suit their specific business and operational needs.
In return, the IAP provides road authorities with greater confidence that heavy vehicles are complying with the agreed road access conditions.
Do I need IAP?
The IAP is a voluntary program that may give transport operators improved access to the Australian road network.
As a transport operator, before you make a decision to use the IAP, you need to decide if the IAP provides a financial or operational benefit to you.
