Pinpoint Technology

 

2011 has seen new enhancements to our Mobile Work Platform (MWP) a flexible cross platform job dispatch, messaging and navigation system that can be easily customised to suit specific customer requirements.  

The core of the MWP is the Pinpoint AVM Server, a centralised messaging service that ensures guaranteed message dispatch and receipt  across mobile wireless networks.  

The centralised design of the MWP keeps your support and maintenance costs low with all interface changes and firmware updates managed from a central management console.  

Transport Certification Australia Ltd (TCA) has certified the Pinpoint Communications to operate in the Intelligent Access Program (IAP). The IAP is a national transport initiative that enables Transport Operators and Road Authorities to identify high mass and high productivity vehicles to travel on approved road networks. Certification has only been given to those companies that have rigorously had their technology tested, in what could be seen as the only industry standard GPS products and applications.

 

 

We have also continued to enhance and expand our client applications with the Pinpoint Engineering team working closely with our customers in interfacing with customer back end systems and developing customer specific features.

WebAVM

The WebAVM client is our standard and most commonly used web based tracking and reporting client. Being a web based application; WebAVM can be quickly and easily deployed for distribute use across your organisation.

 

MobileAVM

MobileAVM is a simplified vehicle tracking and messaging client that operates on most Smart Phones that support internet browsing. MobileAVM is a simple way to keep track of your mobile workforce wherever you are.

 

 

Smart Locator

Pinpoint Smart Locator client is a high performance desktop GIS client. Offering the same functionality as the WebAVM client, Smart Locator provides the enhanced functionality for large scale fleet support, Integration of customer GIS (map) and/or aerial or satellite imagery and enhance MWP features

Day of Operations

Day of operations client is a dispatcher tool for monitoring and modifying work for a fleet of mobile vehicles or people with the Pinpoint Soft tracker installed on a PDA or Tablet PC.

 

Pinpoint Focus

Pinpoint Focus is all about delivering high quality service and products to ensure that our Customer expectations are being met at all times.

This year we have seen the addition of Brad Smit to our Operations team in Sydney with a sound knowledge of IT and enthusiastic attitude towards his job, and Andrew de Jager in Brisbane with an extensive background in GPS tracking and problem solving capabilities around installations of a range of devices.

We have also had additions to our Engineering team to help support our Customers requirements and support the ongoing development of our hardware and software applications. Lakshmi Vasudevan has come on board as our Senior Software Team Leader and brings with her a wealth of knowledge around mobility solutions and Alan Ho with experience across web applications.

 Our Sales team has been bolstered by the addition of Dennis Papadatos with experience and knowledge of the GPS and Mobility market.

Industry Solutions

Local Government

Pinpoint continue to expand their presence in the Local Council market deploying the AVM and MWP systems as well as defined project specific solutions.

Mining

Pinpoint has increased its presence in the Mining Sector in 2011 securing a major contract Project  in Queensland to supply In Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS) solutions as well GIS Map integration and project specific deliverables.  A very exciting new phase that will open up many new opportunities in this growth sector.

Compliance

With technology becoming a larger part of how Transport Operators improve work practices the certification of Pinpoint as an IAP Service Provider and our ability to work with our customers in delivering solutions that are reliable is critical, from OH & S, Proof of Service, Chain of Responsibility  to Speed and Route.

Fleet and Logistics

A traditional market for Pinpoint with added and improved features deploying the AVM and MWP systems as well as defined project specific solutions. 

Equipment and Construction

The cornerstone market for Pinpoint when we first deployed units in 2006, with Customers recovering millions of dollars in stolen equipment since that period. Customers now utilising the AVM system more fully to monitor engine hours to improve revenue streams and servicing, and interface and report on the activity of specific I/O’s within or attached to the asset.

Field Service

Like our Fleet and Logistics market we have an extensive presence in this market with added and improved features deploying the AVM and MWP systems as well as defined project specific solutions.
